Providing access to excellence in education starts with high-quality teachers trained in the most current pedagogy. Now more than ever, teachers and school leaders must understand how to combine technology tools with research-based instructional approaches to implement personalized, blended, and fully remote learning environments.
UTeach Professional Development offers high-quality, research-based, fully facilitated online learning experiences. All UTeach online course offerings can be customized to meet your needs.
Any of the topics covered in UTeach online courses can be customized and provided in face-to-face sessions or webinars with an entire school or subset of educators. We also provide follow-up coaching and support.
The cost varies on the degree of customization, the number and roles of educators being served, and the number of days and hours of support, and travel.
NYOS Charter School, TEA Math Innovation Zone grantee, contracted with UTeach for customized professional development for a small group of high school math teachers. The NYOS Blended Learning PD included customized, interactive professional development using Zoom; instructional coaching including teacher observations, feedback, and coaching by Zoom; and continuous support for teachers for implementation of Blended Learning over a six-month period.
Partnering with UTeach to develop a plan to support teachers with blended learning was ideal for our campus. The personalized observations and coaching really helped our teachers further their craft during virtual learning. Teachers learned how to incorporate choice boards, playlists, and engage students in an online platform. UTeach supported our Math Innovation Zone team by offering guidance for data driven instruction dialogues. Our teachers were excited to learn new tools and strategies for adapting to the virtual environment. We are so thankful for their ability to assess our teachers' current levels and help them each develop. — Paul Jomini, Data & Human Resource Services Coordinator, NYOS Charter School, www.nyos.org
