By combining AI with current methods, educators create engaging, effective, and personalized learning experiences for their students. In this course, participants learn how AI changes education, particularly in the context of blended learning. They explore how AI can customize learning for each student and demonstrate how AI can handle routine tasks. Participants discover and experiment with various AI tools that can enhance blended learning environments and improve their blended learning practices.
Prerequisite: Completion of the Foundations of Blended Learning course.
*Course fees qualify for reimbursement by the Texas Education Agency upon completion.
Module 1 Introduction to AI in Education
This module introduces the basic principles of AI and its potential impacts on education, providing a foundation for understanding AI's role in enhancing blended learning environments.
Module 2 AI and Blended Learning Models
In this module, participants learn how to integrate AI with blended learning strategies to design and implement AI-enhanced lessons that combine traditional with digital instructional methods.
Module 3 AI-Powered Tools for Personalized Content Creation
This module focuses on AI tools that support personalized learning and enable educators to create and implement differentiated content tailored to individual student needs.
Module 4 AI in Student Assessment and Data-Driven Instruction
Participants explore how to use AI for student assessments and data analysis to help leverage insights to inform and improve instructional practices and student outcomes.
Module 5 Exploring Other AI-Related Topics for Teachers
This final module explores various AI-related topics like AI tools that facilitate collaboration, the ethical implications of AI in education, and how to create a comprehensive action plan for AI integration, including strategies for parent communication and feedback, ensuring a holistic approach to AI in education.
