In this bootcamp, new AP Computer Science A (CSA) teachers will learn how to create customized learning experiences for students through project-based instruction, leveraging blended learning strategies to ensure student success.
Prerequisite: Any educator from any content background scheduled to teach AP CSA is eligible for this bootcamp, no previous Java programming experience required.
Objectives
- Familiarize yourself with the comprehensive UTeach AP CSA teacher materials and curriculum, often from a student’s perspective
- Explore background computer science content in the context of course activities and projects
- Practice the collaborative, project-based, and blended learning instructional strategies necessary to teach the course successfully
- Master College Board requirements and expectations for AP® implementation

In this workshop, experienced AP Computer Science A (CSA) teachers will learn how to create customized learning experiences for students through project-based instruction, leveraging blended learning strategies to ensure student success.
Prerequisite: Any educator scheduled to teach AP CSA is eligible for this workshop, previous Java programming experience is required.
