Blended Learning in Early Childhood Classrooms

$600 per participant*

This course helps PK–2 educators transition to a student-centered classroom using blended learning. The course is structured around the 5E framework. Participants will learn how to design, manage, and implement targeted blended models, including Station Rotation, Choice Boards, Menus, and Playlists. Participants will also establish clear routines and procedures necessary for early childhood success in a blended learning classroom.

*Course fees qualify for reimbursement by the Texas Education Agency upon completion.

Participants will:

  • Explore what blended learning looks like in early childhood classrooms.
  • Design a functional station rotation lesson plan that balances teacher-led instruction with independent learning.
  • Create accessible learning menus or choice boards that give young students voice and choice in their learning.
  • Construct an instructional playlist to let students navigate learning tasks at their own pace.
  • Set up the clear physical layouts, online systems, and behavioral routines needed to run a smooth blended environment.
