This course equips educational leaders with a macro-level framework to build, scale, and sustain a thriving data-driven culture across campuses. Serving as a strategic companion to UTeach PD’s teacher course, this program shifts the focus from classroom practice to systemic oversight. Administrators will learn how to evaluate whole-school trends, establish unified protocols, and provide targeted coaching to teachers implementing data-driven workflows on the ground.

Module 1 Data-Driven Instruction: Where Do I Start?

- The Administrator Lens: Shift from classroom execution to building campus-wide coherence, defining standard expectations, and aligning walkthroughs to monitor data use.
Module 2 Begin with the End in Mind
- Understand the TEKS
- Create TEKS breakdown and exemplars
- Review past data to enhance success
- The Administrator Lens: Drive focus over coverage by co-creating clear data goals with teaching teams and modeling deep TEKS analysis alongside staff.
Module 3 Processes of Analyzing Student Data
- Examine student data protocols
- Practice utilizing data-driven decision making for your content
- The Administrator Lens: Establish unified, efficient student data protocols across departments and use aggregate datasets to drive systemic resource shifts.
Module 4 Formative Assessments and Adjustments to Instructional Delivery
- Differentiate between formative vs summative assessment
- Build personalized learning environments in your classroom
- The Administrator Lens: Evaluate the rigor of formative assessments and build the scheduling and budgetary frameworks to sustain blended learning environments.
Module 5 Data-Driven Instruction Action Plan
- Select student data protocol to implement at scale
